Our kids LOVE animals and we all enjoy going to the zoo to see them. The Zurich Zoo has a fun event in the afternoon, if it is cold enough the penguins walk through the zoo. I am not sure exactly how it works because we missed the event by about 30 minutes.
We still had a great time checking out the penguins, they were some of the friendliest I have seen.

The kids found a peacock wandering the paths of the zoo, Addie had no fear.
Malachi slept through part of the zoo, and then I looked down and saw these sweet little eyes looking up at me.
The zip line was a lot of fun, especially when Daddy gave them a big push.
We were afraid that Garrett was going to let go and go flying, but he held on tight.

We had a really fun day, it helped that the weather was gorgeous. It was so nice we all took our jackets off. Unfortunately Jon's jacket did not make it back to our car with us. By the time we realized the jacket was missing we had to drive back up the hill to the zoo, but they had just closed. Then we got lost on our way home. It was rough ending to a fun day. We finally made it home and I was able to fix some dinner and we ended the day on a high note.
